Welcome my new friends and colleagues to our collaborative journey. Both Debra and I have enjoyed the imagination and potential of this new community. I hope that we all shall hold our work here as being work shared in the spirit of fraternal support. In this vein and initial thread I would like to brooch the issue of immediately improving the appearance of our site by eliminating the advertising on the left side and bottom of the pages. After reviewing Wetpaint’s no cost ad-free policy, http://wikisineducation.wetpaint.com/page/Ad-Free+Education+Wikis, I believe we would not qualify for the program, so we shan’t apply. Of course now that this has been posted on our site on their server, is it likely a forgone conclusion at this point; lol! Besides, something about the values of our group perhaps invite us to figure out a way to cover the cost ourselves, http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Wetpaint+Premium+Sites, directly or indirectly, as the users and beneficiaries of our site. Let us see what solutions we may inspire together.
Thank you,
Michael Martin
